It’s Okay to Be Inconsistent!

I used to think that consistency was the only way to get ahead – and I mean being consistent in the traditional way: showing up day in and day out, week after week. But after a good, healthy dose of burnout, I started to rethink things. In this week’s YouTube video, I share that story and what I shifted.

The best part of all of this is I finally get to live in the way that truly works for me. I get to be consistent in a way that is authentic to the rhythm inside of me. It’s scary at times because not everyone values this type of work ethic. But I’ve worked to be unapologetic, to have faith in myself and that I am not only honoring my inner voice but hopefully inspiring others along the way. And ultimately, this has led to some of the best energy levels I’ve had in years.

A bonus to finding my groove in this new pattern is that my fitness goals are suddenly more achievable. I have more energy for and interest in working out. I’m getting more creative and bold with my exercise choices. And, with reduced stress (and the better sleep that comes along with that), I’m noticing my body is starting to relax its hold on the fat reserves it’s been keeping. When we’re stressed, our body thinks we must be in danger. It kicks into survival mode – and part of that is to store up fat (you know, in case we get caught in an icy wilderness with no food for a month). So, when we chill out, follow the rhythms that work best for us, and regulate our energy, our body can chill out and get back to normal too.

Well, I think that’s it for this week. I hope that you at least found my story entertaining, and hopefully got some inspo from it as well!

Here’s wishing you a healthy, happy and vibrant week.

Love,

Korie
